Our Eventers' Challenge - essential info
The Ardenrun Eventers' Challenge is a new class in our showjumping section this year.
We’re thrilled to introduce the Ardenrun Eventers' Challenge to our show this year! This is the first time we’ve hosted this exciting class, and we can’t wait to see it in action.
How It Works
Competitors take on a course featuring rustic, working hunter-style fences, immediately followed by a short section of cross-country jumps, all within an enclosed grass arena. The challenge is to complete the course with a clear round while aiming for the optimum time. Two classes, heights at 70cm & 80cm
A maximum of 16 jumping efforts in total.
Scoring & Rules
- Optimum Time scoring applies.
- Penalties for knockdowns, refusals, and runouts.
- Elimination occurs for falls or three refusals at the same obstacle.
- The rider with the fewest penalties and closest to the optimum time wins!
What to Wear
Top: Long-sleeved XC shirt (no hoods) or showjumping attire.
Safety Gear: Body protector and skull cap (no fixed peaks).
Legwear: Beige breeches or jodhpurs.
Footwear: Long boots or short boots with black or dark brown leather chaps.
Hair & Accessories: Hair must be secured above collar length with a hairnet. Gloves are required.
