EQUINE FAQ'S
Will the rings and warm-up areas be watered?
Absolutely. We are watering the rings and warm-up areas (with the exception of Ring 3, our In-Hand ring) to keep them in great condition.
The irrigators are working well, and we’ll also be using specialist machinery to help lift the grass surface ahead of the Show, ensuring the ground is in good condition for your horses.
Where do I collect my equestrian pack?
Packs will NOT be sent out by post.
Your pack will be ready for you to collect when you arrive at the Equestrian Check-In Point, which can be found near the hedge between the stables and the warm-up ring.
How many wristbands/passes will I receive?
The number of passes (wristbands) you receive will depend on how many horses you have entered and the nature of your class.
| Pass Allocation | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Animals Entered | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5+ |
| Pass Allocation | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
Do I need a horsebox pass to enter the Showground?
No. You do not need a horsebox pass to enter through the horsebox gate.
Horseboxes and trailers will be permitted through the horsebox entrance.
However, cars are not permitted in the horsebox area. Anyone travelling by car must park in a public car park.
For reasons of space and safety, there can be no exceptions to this rule.
Please respect our gate team, who are all volunteers giving their time to help keep everyone safe and ensure the Show runs smoothly.
When is the horsebox park open?
The gates to the horsebox park will be open from 6.00am to 8.00pm on Show days.
Is there anything I need to know about my route?
Yes – please check your route before setting your sat nav.
There is a low railway bridge on Tandridge Lane with a 12'9" restriction.
If you are travelling in a horsebox or other high vehicle, please follow the yellow horsebox signs as you approach the Showground to avoid the low bridge.
Do I need to bring my horse's passport?
Yes – absolutely.
It is a requirement to bring your horse's passport with you to Shows, and our veterinary team will be checking all passports.
The vets will check that:
- Your horse's flu vaccinations are in date
- The horse travelling in your box corresponds with the horse named in the passport
If you would like to check the Show's rules and requirements, please see the equestrian schedules:

How will I know when my class is ready?
Please listen carefully for announcements in the horsebox park and keep an eye on the warm-up rings.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are warmed up and ready for your class and in the correct collecting ring in good time.
Please also make sure you are wearing the correct number.
You will be issued with a back number for each horse, so remember to bring your preferred method of securing the number to your back.
Can I rely on the published entry numbers to know when my class will start?
Not necessarily.
Entry numbers are available, but please do not assume that the number entered will correspond to the number actually going forward.
Some rings may also run ahead of schedule, while others may run behind.
Please keep an eye on the rings and listen for announcements so you don't miss your class.
How can I check which classes I've entered?
If you can't remember which classes you've entered, log into the Show website and click on the person icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Are showjumping entries still open?
Yes. Showjumping entries remain open until midnight on Tuesday 25th August.
If you or a friend would like to enter some jumping classes, please get your entries in online as soon as possible.
How will I receive my prize money?
Prize money will be paid into the bank account you nominated when you made your entry.
We aim to make all prize-money payments within 30 days of the Show.
Can I use a barbecue?
No. Barbecues are NOT permitted.
Given the dry conditions, this is an important fire-safety precaution.
If you are camping on site, we also recommend bringing a fire blanket or fire extinguisher and making sure you know where your nearest fire point is located.
Where can I find the official photographer?
Our official photographer is Spidge, who will be located next to Ring 2 (the Showjumping ring).
Is there a farrier on duty?

He can be found behind Ring 2.

What should I do in an emergency?
Our Duty Vet is Lingfield Equine Vets.
They can be found near Ring 2.
