Each equestrian exhibitor will be charged a £5 first aid levy fee. This is compulsory for each exhibitor and will automatically be applied at the checkout.

Mears Flooring Ladies Side Saddle Show Horse of the Year Championship

CLASS RULES, REGULATIONS & QUALIFIERS
These classes are affiliated to the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered with the BSHA, Sport Horse Breeding (GB) or The Showing Register and all riders, owners and producers must be Members of the British Show Horse Association, Sport Horse Breeding (GB) or The Showing Register. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form

Horse of the Year Show – Mears Flooring Ladies' Side Saddle Horse of the Year Championship
This class is a qualifier for the Horse of the Year Show at the NEC Birmingham, 9th - 13th October 2024. No horse lower than 5th place will qualify with the exception of the BSHA National Championship Show. This class will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. All data given upon entry of these classes is provided to Grandstand Media Ltd. and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. For full policy details please visit www.grandstandentries.com. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show Office.

If competing as a registered BSHA riding horse or hack you are not permitted to compete as an affiliated SHB(GB) Ladies Hunter and vice versa; ie you must choose in which category your horse will compete as in the Ladies Show Horse/Ladies Side Saddle classes. 

Exhibitors are required by DEFRA to carry with them Official Identity Documents for all horses/ponies when competing or travelling. Competitors are reminded that it is a DEFRA requirement that the Official Identity Documents must be in the name of the legal owner within 30 days of ownership. This must be registered with the breed society, relevant studbook or ID issuing agency, dependant on breed/type of animal. Spot checks may be carried out at qualifying shows and by breed societies.

The top four will qualify for the Mears Ladies Show Horse Final at the BSHA National Championships Show

The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2000 Ridden Challenge 2025 Qualifier
This show is a qualifier for the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from class E133 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the final of the IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses need not be registered with the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) to qualify but must be on the IDHS (GB) Registers by the time of the Championship, which will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show in 2025 (date and venue to be confirmed).
In the final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money and a trophy. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500, and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition the highest placed Purebred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, and the highest placed Sport Horse will receive a trophy and £50. A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Qualifiers will be contacted by a member of the IDHS Show Team. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.org.uk to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the final.

Supreme Ridden Horse Championship
The winner of this class will go forward to the Supreme Ridden Horse Championship, held on Monday afternoon in the Main Ring.

Class E133: Mears Flooring Ladies' Side Saddle Horse of the Year Championship

Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, exceeding 148cms. Suitable to carry a side saddle, to be ridden by a lady. Exhibits will be required to gallop/extend together during the go round phase.
