Entries should comprise of three elements : a dish of the raw, whole vegetable (quantity displayed is at the discretion of the exhibitor), a chutney or pickle made from the vegetable and a baked item that includes the vegetable.

Fruit & Vegetables - Opening Notes

Where specified, judging of vegetables and fruit will use the points system from the Royal Horticultural Society, The Horticultural Show Handbook. 

The exhibition value of any kind of fruit or vegetable is governed by the difficulty of producing a perfect dish. The following chart shows maximum points that will be used when assessing the value of dishes in the collection classes. Other fruit and vegetables not on this list may be exhibited but please see the Royal Horticultural Society's 'The Horticultural Show Handbook' and the NVS Exhibitor Guide for points, number of specimens, weights and sizes.
