Mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, exceeding 158cms. Capable of carrying over 89kgs (14 stone).
Please register for membership of the Edenbridge & Oxted Agricultural Show to receive discounted entry fees where applicable. You must have submitted and completed your membership order before entering the class in order to avail of the discount.
Each equestrian exhibitor will be charged a £5 first aid levy fee. This is compulsory for each exhibitor and will automatically be applied at the checkout.

CLASS RULES, REGULATIONS & QUALIFIERS
These classes are held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association. Horses must be registered with the BSHA, Sport Horse Breeding (GB) or The Showing Register and all riders, owners and producers must be Members of the British Show Horse Association, Sport Horse Breeding (GB) or The Showing Register. Riders must be 15 years of age or older. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry form.
Horse of the Year Show – Catplant Group of Companies Show Hunter of the Year
Classes E105 - E107 & E109 are qualifiers for the Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 7th - 11th October 2026. Qualification will not pass below 5th Place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office.
Horses competing at the Horse of the Year Show and qualifying shows in The Hunter sections of The Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain classes at their Affiliated Shows cannot compete in Hack, Cobs and Riding Horse classes at the same show, on the same day and vice versa. This does not apply to SHB (GB) Ridden Sport Horse classes. Entries in these classes may not compete in the Small Show Hunter of the Year and vice versa.
These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk. All data given upon entry of these classes is provided to Grandstand Media Ltd. and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. For full policy details please visit www.grandstandentries.com. Exhibitors are required by DEFRA to carry with them Official Identity Documents for all horses/ponies when competing or travelling. Competitors are reminded that it is a DEFRA requirement that the Official Identity Documents must be in the name of the legal owner within 30 days of ownership. This must be registered with the breed society, relevant studbook or ID issuing agency, dependant on breed/type of animal. Spot checks may be carried out at qualifying shows and by breed societies.
BSHA Supreme of Season Finals
The highest placed unqualified prize winner within the top 5 of each open affiliated class will qualify to compete in the BSHA Supreme of Season Finals. The Finals will be held at the BSHA National Championship Shows in September 2026.
The Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2000 Ridden Challenge 2027 Qualifier
This show is a qualifier for the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2,000 Ridden Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from classes E105 - E107 and E109 that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding, will qualify for the final of the IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge. Horses need not be registered with/overstamped by the IDHS (GB) to qualify but must be on the IDHS (GB) Registers by the time of the Championships.
In the final, the Champion will be awarded £1000 prize money, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500, and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, the highest placed Purebred Irish Draught will receive a £100, and the highest placed Sport Horse/Part bred will receive £50.
GENERAL QUALIFYING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (You don’t have to be a member to enter but you must be by the time of the final)

- All horses must be registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) and in the correct ownership
- Owners of Pure bred Irish Draughts and Irish Draught Sport Horses/Part bred)must now be full members of the IDHS (GB) to compete
- Irish Draught Sport Horses/Part bred are horses that have a minimum of 25% proven
- All pure-bred Irish Draught Stallions
- must be inspected and overstamped by the IDHS (GB) and be Class 1, 2 or RID (GB).
- Stallions must display a red, white and blue ribbon in their tails and be shown by experienced rider/handlers over 18 years of age
- Ridden horses must be 153cm (15hh) or over.
GENERAL QUALIFIER INFORMATION:
- The Finals of all IDHS (GB) qualifiers will be held at the IDHS (GB) National Championship Show on 5th & 6th September 2026 at Venue TBC.
- All owners of qualified horses will be contacted by a member of the IDHS (GB) Show Affiliation Team
- Horses can only qualify for a specific Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered

Supreme Ridden Horse Championship
The Champion, Reserve Champion Show Hunter and the winner of class E109 will go forward to the Supreme Ridden Horse Championship, held on Monday afternoon in the Main Ring.
